A good idea in theory.
A sort of nice idea. A collector's edition of all of the remastered Beatle's albums(well most of them) in digital format. A novel way of doing it producing it as a USB stick you plug into your computer(in the shape of an Apple - as in Apple records). The stick contains the albums in MP3 format(rated at 320 KBps) and higher quality FLAC format. There are various documentaries as well. What let's it down ins the build quality of the USB stick and housing. Firstly it is packed very tightly in its box it very stiff foam padding, it is so difficult to get it out. Secondly the stalk of the apple(for pulling the USB stick out) is easily broken. It seems very delicate. My advise would be to use it just once, and copy all of the stuff on it to a hard disk.

the music is great but it fell apart when I took the usb stick out very poor manufacturing I returned it to Amazon who sent a replacement and this time the little stick bit at the top of the apple was broken I just glued it back together myself.

Wonderful collectable, great music and video
Where to start? This is the only way you can purchase the Beatles catalogue in digital form. A metal green apple (what else) contains a 16Gb memory stick containing all the Beatles albums except the 'Love' remix album in MP3 and lossless formats, as well as various videos.
The content has been well put together, working flawlessly for me on both Mac and Windows (XP) machines. It is easy to copy the music onto your hard drive although you can also listen to any of the content using the built-in media player software (which no doubt piggy-backs off installed player software) - no software installation necessary.
This 2009 remaster is limited to 30,000 worldwide. My only minor complaint is that it would have been nice to supply a certificate of authenticity and number each one. If like me you enjoy the Beatles, but have little of their music, this is a fantastic way to get the lot in one go. It would be nice if this appreciates in value over the years, only time will tell if this is the case.

Beatles 'Apple' USB
All we had to do was to insert the Beatles 'Apple' USB Memory stick into our Mini Hi-Fi USB socket, select 'USB' with the remote control, and it immediately found and started to play the first album and first track! Very easy, but very amazing that so much is stored on so small a device!

This is a fantastic product. The Flash interface for the MP3s is a great idea - almost instant access to all and every Beatles track. Wonderful! And the other reviewers are right, the FLAC files sound brilliant - a really rich, full sound, considerably better than CD. You'll hear details you've never heard before. Once you've heard FLAC, you won't go back (as people nearly say). You really do need to snap one of these up before they're all gone. To paraphrase those old Beatles fan club ads - don't delay, amaze your friends and buy today!
